I am planning on putting my 18 yr old out, if he refuses to go should I call the police.?

He has been defiant, took our car keys and joy ride. Stays out til 4-5 in the morning, totally disrespectful and can not take it anymore. The child has been in trouble with the police and currently doing community service.
