How can i be trustworthy to my parents?

My dad is strict. Very strict. He doesnt play. He took everything away from me. My video games and put them in a box and my tv and ive been defiant many time because of game addiction. So to get it back i have to join something and make out a schedule to incorporate my games into it and do what im supposed to do. Its hard and hes been grounding me for my video games a lot over my lifetime. I love him really but i cant control being defiant towards my parents. So how can i fix this?
