Would it be normal for a 6 year old to be withdrawn?

Its not normal no. Yes its because of how her mother treated her, the child will be deeply angry at the mother and probably became de-attached from her as a result of her neglect. If shes angry its either displaying anger at her mother or its to gain attention that she never got. :( Poor kid <3
