Would having a female husky help calm down a high energy male husky?

So I go to boarding school and during the time that i was gone my parents took care of my baby husky. Basically they didn't care for him properly and they keep him in his cage often - so he Barks all the time. I just got back for summer and he is now a years old, he has high energy, he play bites other people and jumps on them. I have been teaching but he remains very defiant although picking up some obdience. For example he barks when he doesn't get what he wants, my parents werent hard on him when he was supposed to eat and gave him a different meal when he didn't eat - so he is quite skinny. I basically fell in love with a very affectionate white female husky from a renownwed breeder and since I have time now I can't fully train her myself. I wanted to also get my energetic husky a friend while I'm gone and also so he learns from her when I teach her - she is also much more gentle than him. Is this a good idea? I'm really desperate because in afraid he might get lonely againwhen I'm gone and I've been teaching my parents to take him properly but they also both work. Thanks so much - I love my husky to death
