in chapter 13 i think or 14 it says that when matthew was in the garden with the soil in his hands, kit was hurt to think of him. can you please answer "why did it suddenly hurt to think of that lonely defiant figure in the garden?" pleeassee idk the answer no matter how much i think about it and i can't find the answer anywhere either
