10 month old very defiant?

i have a 10 month old jack russell shih ztu cross.i got him when he was 12 weeks old.He gets walked daily plus has a massive back garden to run around in..my husband and i play with him also.He is a very fun loving playful dog.My only concern with him at the minute is he will not listen to anything my husband or i say to him.If he jumps on the sofa and we say of he jus sits there looking at you until we take him off it and then say no.but he then jumps straight back up again.He jumps up everyone that he see's when he is on his walks even wen my husband and i say no down..The only thing he will do when you tell him is sit but this is only when you have a treat for him.On walks if were waiting to cross a road he wont sit wen told you have to push his bottom down so he sits but he doesnt stay sat down.He has no recall sense what so ever..He doesnt come to you when you tell him to.Is there anyway i can train him to not be so defiant..
