How come none of the downloaded maps are played online for halo reach?

i just downloaded the noble and defiant map packs for my xbox 360 halo reach. How come none of the maps are being played online. I normally play swat, slayer, team slayer. Is it only certain games. Ive been playing for a couple of hours now
